I chose these videos because they are very intersting to me. One video was a class remaking a rap song and the other was a cartoon. Once you find something that you like to see or listen to it becomes even easier for you to pay close attention, meaning you will learn more. They show you how to calculate the mean, median, mode, and find the range, but also have a little fun at the same time. These types of videos help me learn easier. The very last video is just a really simple example of how to find the range. You can understand it in a heartbeat, which is what I like about it.
Standard Deviation
I chose these videos because it gives you a clear meaning on how to calculate standard deviation. The first video is good. It gives you a set of numbers and swiftly explains to you on how to do it by hand. I think the second video is even better becuase the man instructing the video has the same graphing calculator that we use here at school and thoroughly explains every step you need to know on how to calculate the standard deviation on a graphing calculator and also by hand.
Outliers
The first video I chose is a good choice to watch to learn how to do outliers because the man gives you the definition of outliers and shows you every single step on how to do it. You won't miss out on anything. The second video is great because the man instructing is an actual teacher. He explained every single thing that he did as well and showed how and where he got all the numbers from. He labels and writes out all the steps on the dry erase board as it happens.
Quartiles
The first video is good for learning how to find quartiles in a set of data. The man speaking gives you all of the key terms and kept them on the screen so you wouldn't get confused. It is very important to know the key terms because otherwise you would have no clue what he was talking about. The second video has an actual teacher telling you how to find the quartiles. He doesn't provide an example to actually show you what is happening, but he does give you enough information and the chronological order to solve it in.
Data Sets
The first video teaches you how to make a box and whisker plot. It is a good video to watch because it gives you a problem to solve with it. Of course, she solves it for you, but you learn a lot while watching how the woman instructs on how to do it. The second video gives you a clear meaning of histograms and how to do them. The third video gives you more information about all the different types of scatter plots there are and also how to make one. The very last video gives you a problem to do with it too. It's good that they give you an actual situation, so you can understand it better and get the opportunity to solve it on your own.
